United Way of Greater Greensboro's Thriving at Three Initiative is excited to introduce Born Learning. We know what happens in a child's early years matters—for success in school and in life. Yet many parents and caregivers don't know exactly what actions to take to prepare young children for school, and often feel that they don't have the time to do what's needed.

Born Learning is a national public engagement promotion. Through advertising, parent education and community impact, Born Learning will help parents, caregivers and communities take action to provide quality early learning opportunities for children.

The resources available to parents and caregivers provide time with specific, “do-able” action steps that are fun and easy to do using daily life to support early learning. In addition to an array of printed materials, parents and caregivers can access this information on the Born Learning website, www.bornlearning.org.

The Thriving at Three initiative of the United Way of Greater Greensboro has localized Born Learning Public Service Announcements and will deliver the message through local media outlets, radio, print, billboard, and transit ads. Plans to extend the message into our community have already begun with Fairway Outdoor Advertising, The Piedmont Parent, Pink and Blue Pages and The Spanish Yellow Pages (Seccion Amarilla).

United Way of Greater Greensboro and United Way of Greater High Point will partner to showcase Born Learning PSAs through Time Warner Cable and PART and Hi Tram transit.
